דקל ננסי זה דמוי תמר הוא למעשה באמת קרוב משפחה של דקל התמר הידוע בארצנו. מקורו באזורי תאילנד עד וויאטנם, והוא משמש גם כצמח עציץ מצוין וגם כתוספת אטרקטיבית מיוחדת בגינה.
בטבע מגיע הרובליני לגובה מקסימאלי של 4  מטרים,ונופו הנוצתי עדין כמו שרך עם עלווה ירוקה בוהקת עם ענפים עמוסים בזרעים אדומים עד שחורים (בסוף הבשלתם) על צמח הנקבה.
ישנו בטבע זן של הרובליני המתפצל טבעית, והוא הכנס בתקופה האחרונה לגינון העולמי.
הדקל זקוק להשקיה ודישון קבועים בכדי למצות את פוטנציאל יופיו.

This little dwarf date palm look-alike is actually a true keen to its huge known brother the "Date Palm"-Phoenix Dactilifera. Coming from Thailand to the Vietnam areas, it is a great pot plant as well as beautiful garden plant. In nature it can reach 4m of height with a graceful crown of feather fern like shiny green leaves and clusters of black tiny fruit on its female plant.
It can be also found as a clustering form in nature, recently introduced as such to the horticultural world.
Needs ample supply of water and will appreciate a feeding occasionally.
