דיון אדולה
הדיון שייך למשפחה הרחבה של הציקדים. זן זה של דיון, "האדולה" הוא המוכר יותר בעולם הגינון עקב עמידותו הרבה יחסית לשאר זני תת המשפחה.
עליו דמויי מסרק או משור וקשיחים במיוחד, אך כאשר יוצאים העלים החדשים הם קטיפתיים וסגלגלים.
הדיון אדולה מתאים גם לשמש וגם לחצי צל, ועמיד לתנאי קרה.
Dioon Edule
The Dion is a member of the Cycad family. This variety is the most known one in cultivation for its hardiness compared to the other Dioon varieties.
Its leaves are shaped like a saw, and are very hardy, but when its new leaves arrive they are velvety and often purplish in color.
The Dioon Edule will do well in both sunny and semi shade locations, and will withstand frost.
